I felt the same way about Twitter for awhile but they are finally starting to respond to developers. I hope Apple does the same.
The Cinch app was rejected four times for minor reasons and each rejection took a one week delay
We do contract work for some high profile companies and the do get their apps faster through the approval process...
Maybe Facebook wants Apple to look like the bad guy?

i.TV, which was #1 for awhile in the app store (and I worked with during that time), also took over a week to get approved

after being denied the first time. It's really frustrating.
Cinch was denied 4 times. it was outrageous how they dialogue with the app developers and publishers of the apps.
